This picture was taken on April 7, 2002. This was a dog we met while at an event in Arizona called Bark in the Park. I do not remember this beautiful dogs name, but I remember the story! He was a 6 month old Pit Bull who had been hit by a car. You can see the stiches up the side of his leg. This dog was so playful and happy to be around people and other dogs. It was like he knew he had a second chance at life! Shiloh got to meet him and she had a lot of fun playing with him. Every time I see a Pit Bull, I think of this dog. He was the sweetest, most gentle dog! You would think after being through such a tramatic event that he would be different. His owners said they thought about not bringing him to the event, but he was just so happy to get in the car they had to bring him. What a sweet dog!

What a great, happy memory! It never ceases to amaze me the power of healing that us dogs have, and how we can be so happy and positive and loving even after experiencing bad situations. Us dogs are pretty terrific!
