(Yes, My laptop is still broken)
This morning I visited our local animal shelter to take some videos for their Youtube Channel I am working on. There is a Siberian Husky there named Chico, who I found fitting to introduce you to.
Chico is about 10 years old. He is a male, unneutered Siberian Husky. He is a sweetheart! He was an owner turnover. Apparently he kept getting out and running away, so the owner just gave up on him and turned him over to the Shelter.
He has been at the Shelter for almost 6 months now. The Huron Humane Society of Alpena is a no-kill Shelter. They do everything they can to find homes for these animals.
If you would like to make a donation to the HHS in honor of Chico the paypal address is huronhumanesocietyalpena@gmail.com
We know everyone is tight on money right now. If you can think of another way you want to help, Private message me!
Shiloh and Shelby would love to help Chico find a home.
Thanks so much for watching!

What a beautiful dog! Six months is much too long to be locked up. Suka was locked up for four months before I adopted him. He was also a wanderer, and still is! But he is a keeper despite his wandering ways. Suka and I will keep our paws and fingers crossed that Chico finds the perfect, loving forever home. Too sad. I worked in a shelter for almost two years and know the heartbreak of seeing animals coming in and never leaving. Too many animals in too many shelters. Just heartbreaking!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Hopefully with your help Chico will find his home.

Martha was in kennels for over six months - it is way too long for any dog. We have out paws crossed for a forever home soon.
ReplyDeleteWe wondered why the owner could not make their garden secure! We do not run away as such but would follow our noses for days before looking up to see where we were.
Thanks for visiting us - we have quite a few siberian friends and get on very well.
love and kisses

ReplyDeleteMy heart is just breaking for him! I can't believe someone hasn't adopted him. He is such a cutie. I sure hope he can find a home soon. 6 months there is just way too long!

We are doing everything we can to find this boy a home. Our community isn't very big. And I think that is part of the problem, plus he is a bit older. He does get lots of love and attention from the wonderful volunteers and staff at the HHS, but it's not enough. He needs a good home!
